Puerto Galera
A Beach Photowalk
I'm a frequent visitor to Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. That much is certain considering the numbers of photos I've collected of the place. Most of the pictures where kind of personal, and as I learned through photography and being a photo enthusiast, I begin to appreciate capturing images of other people instead of just my own. I feel like becoming a paparazzi only that I prefer taking pictures of strangers who's unaware that I'm trying to capture their image. Here's my take on Puerto Galera beach scene.

I just loved the photos you took for this post Francis. Ganda nga talaga ng Puerto Galera and a great way to relax and catch up with the beauty of nature.
ReplyDeleteI never been here pa so sana soonest I can be here.
Thanks Dr Wends!
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your comments..
It tells me that I'm doing a good thing in capturing images. :)
I love Puerto Galera. Even though I'm no longer working there babalik at babalik pa rin ako. Dami ko pang di nasusulat na blog post at napuntahan hehe
ReplyDeleteAround early to mid 2000 we frequented the place heaps! Like 4-5 times, even more in a year... Never got tired of it even though a lot of people say it's too touristy. I didn't mind the crowd, but I was always annoyed about people selling wares. You can't have a quiet time on the beach!
ReplyDeletewow! paparazzi! hehehe!!! nakaka miss ang Galera... wahahaha!!! 4 years na when i last visited it... have to visit it again soon! :)
ReplyDeleteWould u believe I have not been there? Love the photos , especially of the child with sagging pants ;-)

I'm actually hesitant about going back to Puerto Galera's White Beach, considering that the shoreline continues to shorten every time I visit (because of new developments).. But your photos make me think otherwise. Maybe I'll visit again someday.. Btw, I love your telefoto candid shots! =)

ReplyDeleteI love candid shots too! I think they capture the moment and the soul of the subject in an organic way. All lovely photos, but my fave in this set is the 3rd from last. What is that kid doing?

ReplyDeleteWe used to go to Galera as part of our zoology club activity. It was still basically undiscovered thenm beautiful, quiet and untouched. I have never been back but I think that at present it is not much different from Boracay...crowded, noisy and amoral ;)
ReplyDeleteNice shots, I don't have a guts to take photos of other people they might get offended or something kaya minsan if I want a snap eh patago., haha
ReplyDeletegreat people shots. love taking pics of people too, particularly people I don't know...;)
ReplyDeletenice shots... from different walks of life. Yahweh bless.
ReplyDeleteLove the 1st and 8th (which is actually quite funny for me) photos :)
