FOOD TRIP | Turf Lounge Bar
Baguio Food Tour 2013
A Turf for everyone else to enjoy has come to the night scene of Baguio City, a new watering hole in a seemingly unexpected joint along Laubach Road. Hopeless with a map on hand, I wouldn't be able to pin point this place even if a landmark stares right back at me, good thing Baguio's Taxi service is superb and you really would not miss "Turf" if the driver knows where Laubach Road is located.
From the unpretentious Entrance, you will be greeted by an array of displays on the walls. A throwback of things in the 80's, from old phones to VHS rewinders disguised as toy cars and an old grandfathers clock ticking.
The Long Bar
Easily noticeable is the longest bar area I've ever seen, it could even pass as an elevated runway platform where one can strut their stuff.
His Turf
A place for guys to lounge over, with billiard tables, action figures on display, sports star posters, darts, baseball gloves and so fort.
Her Turf
Of Pink and Dainty, Her Turf is more of lounge area where girls can chat in cushioned seats and soft carpeted floors.
Note: His and Her Turf is not limited to one's gender of course. Everyone can enjoy both Turf's, after all, this lounge has the widest place to accommodate many guest.
.
The Acoustic Turf.
Of course I referred to this one as the Acoustic Turf, but its really more of the Acoustic area. In cushioned seats and wooden tables for a group of partying guest to enjoy together. Not in the picture is the stage where a band can set up and entertain the crowd.
Cool Floats
Our visit was a weekend before local elections, it can't be helped that we have to contend with enjoying Floats in Root Beers instead of Cocktails to send us off. Turf was our final stop for this memorable Baguio Food Tour.
The Main Course
Turf being a sister establishment of Zola Resto/Cafe and Purple Lounge of Baguio, it came as surprise for us the Chef Reniel who where with us in Zola earlier this morning for our Breakfast Gig was the one to impress us once again in Turf. I can say I've become familiar with his choice of dishes being that they are similar with Zola's, it was a handful as Turf has been very generous like her siblings.

Nice blog, Thanks for sharing this information.
ReplyDeleteWow...a cool place to dine and bond with friends or family. Love the food, looks yummy too.
ReplyDeleteThe onion burst and the peanut butter cream cake looked the most appetizing to me. :) What can you say about the prices? Are they similar to those here in Manila or cheaper comparatively?
